My teaching operates at the intersection of artistic practice and pedagogical reflection. I support students in developing their individual musical identity within frameworks that connect interpretation, concept, and performance.
In seminars at the music universities in Münster and Osnabrück, I integrate artistic, dramaturgical, and pedagogical perspectives. Teaching functions as an open laboratory in which students refine their artistic language and position – in dialogue with society, audiences, and themselves.
Central to this process is a sustained engagement with artistic identity:
What drives my own musical practice? What defines my artistic identity? What role do I assume within professional music-making?
I supervise independent artistic projects from initial concept to public presentation, including master’s projects and final theses. These processes bring together performance, conceptual thinking, and critical reflection.
A further focus lies in preparing musicians for professional practice in the field of music. This includes concert conception, performance preparation, and teaching-related formats. The emphasis is on artistic presence, clarity of expression, and the ability to communicate music as a living, situated practice.
Seminars such as Music & Identity, Artistic Research, and Professions between Art and Pedagogy connect artistic work with conceptual thinking. I understand my role primarily as a collaborator, mentor, and artistic interlocutor.
Key areas

My work as a musician and university lecturer combines artistic practice and reflection with pedagogical experience. In lectures, workshops, and coaching formats, I work with instrumentalists and composers on expanding their sonic, musical, and artistic vocabularies.
The focus is on extended performance techniques for flute, improvisation, and the development of an individual artistic language and musical presence.
Lectures and workshop topics include:
Formats are project-based and research-oriented, according to the individual interests and artistic questions of the participants. Individual coaching sessions and workshops are available in German, English, or French, both on-site and online.
